Can you get meeting notes without a bot joining the call? That's Krisp's pitch. It sits between your microphone and whatever calling app you use, cleans up the audio and writes the transcript on the side. Nobody on the call sees an extra participant.

There's no free plan any more, though. The pricing page offers a 7-day trial instead, and no card is needed to start it.

Noise cancellation still comes first

Krisp built its name on removing background noise, and that remains the feature people notice first. It filters out keyboards, fans, barking dogs and crying babies, and it also tackles echo and cross-talk. Because it works at the audio level, it doesn't matter whether the meeting runs in Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or a Slack huddle.

Accent conversion is the newer trick. It adjusts how your accent sounds to listeners, or how other people's accents sound to you. Krisp says noise cancellation comes with every plan and you can turn the meeting assistant off if clean audio is all you want.

Trial, Core and Advanced

Per-user prices on the annual plan, October 7, 2026. Monthly billing doubles them, to $16 and $30.

The trial unlocks the premium features for seven days. Teams buying more than 50 seats can ask for a volume discount.

How the notes get made

Signing up connects your Google or Outlook calendar by default, so Krisp knows which meetings to capture. Teams that won't share calendar data can use a connection with zero calendar permissions instead.

Each meeting can be recorded as a transcript only, as audio or as video. Summaries and action items follow, and an AI chat answers questions about past calls. Notes can go to Slack, and on Advanced to Salesforce. English is transcribed on your device, while 15 other languages, from Spanish and German to Hindi and Korean, go through Krisp's servers.

Calls aren't the only source. The mobile app records in-person meetings and works offline, though it doesn't include noise cancellation yet. A Chrome extension covers meetings held in the browser, and you can upload an existing recording. A custom vocabulary of up to 750 terms helps with product names and jargon.

Where other note-takers win

Granola also writes notes without a bot and has a free Basic plan, which suits someone who only needs notes. Fireflies has a free plan and stronger conversation analytics, but it joins meetings as a bot. If every meeting happens in Zoom, the AI features in paid Zoom plans may already cover summaries. Krisp's real edge over all of them is the audio itself. None of those tools will stop a neighbor's drill from reaching your colleagues.

What happens to the recordings

Krisp encrypts data at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3. It holds SOC 2 Type II certification and lists GDPR and HIPAA compliance. It also says meeting data is never used to train its models.

Enterprise goes further with private, on-device transcription and recordings. Health-care teams should read the fine print before signing up, though. A business associate agreement, which HIPAA requires, is available only to teams with 100 or more seats.
